Truck driver Rajesh Rawani from Jharkhand becomes a YouTube sensation by sharing cooking videos from his truck, earning significantly from his passion while continuing his driving profession.

Meet Rajesh Rawani, a man whose passion for cooking turned him into an unexpected online star. Rajesh, who hails from Jamtara, Jharkhand, has been a truck driver for over 20 years. He spends most of his time on the roads of India, but his heart belongs to cooking.

Rajesh's love for cooking led him to create a YouTube channel called "R Rajesh Vlogs," where he shares cooking recipe tutorials. As of 21st August 2024, his channel has about 18.8 lakh subscribers and 913 videos. In his videos, Rajesh can be seen inside his truck, near the driver's seat, explaining what he plans to cook that day. He uses Indian spices and carries his cooking vessels wherever he goes.

While Rajesh earns between ?25,000 and ?30,000 per month as a truck driver, his YouTube channel brings in much more. On average, he earns around ?4-5 lakh a month from YouTube, with his highest earnings reaching ?10 lakh. Recently, he even bought a new home with his YouTube earnings.

In an interview with NDTV, Rajesh shared details about his finances and his plans for building his first home. He recalled how his first video, which had only a voiceover, gained attention. When his son made a video showing Rajesh's face, it received 4.5 lakh views in just one day.

Despite his online success, Rajesh continues to drive trucks because of his family responsibilities and the ongoing house project. He mentioned that his father, also a driver, was the sole provider for their family of five. His father used to send ?500 every month for their needs, but it was often not enough, and they had to take loans.

Rajesh expressed his gratitude to his family, saying, “We are running the vehicles and the YouTube channel at the same time. It would not be possible without my family's support and help.”

Rajesh's latest video was published on 18th August 2024, at 11:30 am. The video, shot the day before, shows Rajesh driving to Guwahati. He talks about the Bihar flood while driving and mentions that he still has to cover 850 km to reach his destination.

Rajesh's story is a testament to the fact that age, profession, and time don't matter when it comes to adapting to new technology and reinventing ourselves. He has shown that with passion and determination, anyone can turn their dreams into reality.
