The craze of online shopping has increased dramatically in the last few years, keeping in mind the convenience and hassle free nature of online shopping. However, when we order an expensive mobile phone or a TV Set online, we trust the delivery agents for safe delivery.  This trust has now been badly broken with a video from the Guwahati railway station, which is now going viral on social media. The clip that has raised eyebrows on the Internet featured porters carelessly tossing  parcels while unloading a train carriage. The clip, uploaded on Twitter, has been shot at a railway station and shows a number of packages piled up on the platform. Several men are seen unloading parcels from a train and throwing them in the air with no regard for the safety of the package. At one point in the clip, a parcel even ends up hitting a ceiling fan at the station after it was thrown by the porter. We can see many of the packages bearing the Amazon logo. Amazon & Flipkart parcels, the caption of the video read.

An Amazon spokesperson said the video was from March this year, and corrective actions have been taken. "As a customer centric company, we take great care in the safe delivery of all our customer packages. This video came to our attention in March 2022 and corrective actions have been taken," the spokesperson said. The footage has received more than 2 million views on Twitter and has left internet users shocked. Many blamed the Railways for mishandling the packages. However, Railway, through its official Twitter handle, said that it gives contracts to companies to book space in the carriages. It is the responsibility of the private party to load and unload the parcels and not of the railways. The persons handling the parcels are representatives of the parties concerned. However, the internet users massively criticized this behavior of delivery agents. What do you think about this? Do mention your thoughts in the comment section below.
