Thane: Son Tries to Kill Father in Road Rage over Family Dispute
A man in Thane, Maharashtra, deliberately rammed his SUV into another car, injuring five people, including his own family, in a shocking road rage incident.
A terrifying road rage incident has surfaced from Thane, Maharashtra, where a man deliberately rammed his SUV into another vehicle and injured several people, including his own family members. The incident occurred on the Ambernath-Badlapur road on the evening of 20th August 2024 and has sparked widespread outrage.
The video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows a black Tata Harrier crashing into a white Toyota Fortuner in broad daylight. The footage captures the shocking moment when the Harrier, driven by Satish Sharma, deliberately hits a man, reverses, and then speeds forward to smash into the Fortuner.
According to reports, Satish Sharma, a resident of Ambernath, was involved in a marital conflict that had also caused tension with his father, Bindeshwar Sharma, a retired senior defence officer. On the day of the incident, Bindeshwar, along with his wife, other son, daughter-in-law, and young grandson, had traveled from Colaba, Mumbai, to Ambernath to resolve the dispute between Satish and his wife. However, when they couldn’t find Satish at his home, they decided to return to Mumbai.
As they were heading back, Satish caught up with their vehicle in his black Tata Harrier. Assuming Satish wanted to speak with them, Bindeshwar’s driver pulled over the Fortuner. But instead of stopping, Satish rammed his SUV into the back of the Fortuner, causing panic inside the vehicle.
When the driver stepped out to calm Satish down, Satish reversed his Harrier and sped forward, attempting to hit the driver. The driver managed to jump onto the Harrier’s bonnet to avoid being struck, but a local man was hit by the speeding SUV and dragged several feet.
As Bindeshwar and other family members tried to exit the Fortuner, Satish took a U-turn and violently crashed into the front of their car. The impact was so severe that the Fortuner skidded over 10 feet, crashing into several bikers and injuring Bindeshwar.
Angry locals and passersby responded by pelting Satish’s Harrier with stones and bricks. The entire incident was captured on video by residents of nearby buildings and those passing by.
The Thane Police confirmed that five people were severely injured in the attack. Satish Sharma has been missing since the incident, and police are currently investigating the case. They are reviewing video footage and interviewing Bindeshwar, his family, and eyewitnesses to uncover the full details and motivations behind the shocking road rage.
