Telangana CM Fires 48,000 Employees

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees had decided to go on strike till their demands were not fulfilled. They were on strike for 4 days. They had a list of 26 demands which they wanted to government to fulfil. Earlier they had gone on strike, but they would cancel the strike because of a compromise with the government. The government would never approve their demands. This time the employees decided that they will go on strike until the government accepts their demands. 

Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) said that this strike was completely illegal. The CM has fired 48,000 employees of the TSRTC. Lakhs of people use TSRTC buses every day. For four days 10,500 buses of TSRTC were shut. This caused a lot of problems to people as it was a Dussehra. TSRTC authorities are hiring buses and temporary drivers. 

The CM has asked officials to recruit more employees and hire more private buses. Now there are only 1,200 employees in the TSRTC. The Unions have said that if the CM confirms to fire the employees they will go to court.
