Take The Indian Sign Language Pledge

India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has started an initiative to celebrate International Day of Sign Languages. Watch our latest video for all the details.

23rd September is International Day of Sign Languages. This is the day to raise awareness of the importance of sign language as human rights for people who are Deaf. India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has started an initiative to celebrate International Day of Sign Languages. It has come up with a Pledge or a promise. People who take this pledge, will promise themselves to promote the use of Indian Sign Language in the environment and education to make life accessible for the deaf and hearing 

The last line of the pledge says that the ministry values your participation and wishes you all the best and asks you to keep participating. 

I will tell you the procedure now. 

  1. Go on the link [ https://ish.news/isl-Pledge  ]

  2. Click take pledge 

  3. Enter initials (Mr / Mrs / Ms) and Your name 

  4. Enter gender 

  5. Enter your date of birth 

  6. Pincode 

  7. State and District will automatically appear when you enter the pin code 

  8. Enter your email id (if you wish to) 

  9. Enter your mobile number 

  10. Click on proceed for language selection 

  11. Select language (English / Hindi) and read the pledge 

  12. Click I read 

  13. Enter OTP received on your mobile number 

  14. Select how you want to view the certificate - On mobile, on email,  download, share on facebook or share on twitter 

  15. You will receive the certificate accordingly.
