A similar gruesome murder had taken place in Surat, Gujarat as well. A man allegedly killed his daughter by stabbing her over 20 times with a knife following a domestic dispute. A disturbing footage of the incident, which took place on 18th May in Surat’s Kadodara area, has gone viral on social media.
The accused has been identified as Ramanuja Sahoo (45), who lived with his family at a rented apartment.
The accused lost his temper during a minor argument with his wife, Rekha (40) over the issue of their daughter sleeping on the terrace. The situation quickly escalated, leading to violence. As captured in the CCTV footage, at approximately 11.20 pm, Ramanuja first launched an attack with a knife at his wife in front of his children.
While the woman was injured, her children tried to apprehend the attacker and bravely grappled with him, managing to briefly subdue him. However, the assailant fought back, and tried to attack anyone within reach. Amidst the chaos, the accused got hold of his daughter Chanda (19), and stabbed her multiple times, over 20 times.
