States Cancel Class 10 Board Exams

After the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the Class 10 board exams, various other states followed suit and have either cancelled or postponed the exams for Class 10 students.

The coronavirus is spreading more and more in the country everyday. So, to keep the students safe, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and many state boards had decided to cancel or postpone the board exams for class 10 and 12 for the year 2021. Some boards decided to promote the students on the basis of internal assessment marks. Some said students will be given a choice to give the Class 10 board exams later when the situation is better. 

Here are the exams which have been cancelled: 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the Class 10 board exams and postponed Class 12 examination.   

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 board exams have been cancelled. 

State board exams for Class 10 have been cancelled in the following states: 

Tamil Nadu 

Punjab

Haryana

Telangana 

Uttarakhand 

Jammu & Kashmir 

and Maharashtra 

The coronavirus cases are increasing everyday, but still some states have decided to conduct the board exams as per schedule.
