Shiv Sena & BJP to Join Hands for Lok Sabha Elections

Shiv Sena and BJP to contest the Lok Sabha Elections together to boost their chances of securing maximum seats.

13 months ago, the Shiv Sena party had vowed to fight all future elections alone, though now it looks like they have changed their minds. Recently at a press conference, BJP President Amit Shah, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray and CM Devendra Fadnavis announced that the Shiv Sena will partner with the BJP for the Lok Sabha Elections.

The CM Devendra Fadnavis said that both the parties have had several misunderstandings in the past, but they both believe in “Hindutva”. They have decided to work together for the people of Maharashtra. Maharashtra holds 48 seats in total in the Lok Sabha. Out of these seats, the BJP will contest for 25 seats and the Shiv Sena will contest for 23 seats

The Chief Minister will be elected from the party which wins the maximum number of seats in the Lok Sabha. Uddhav Thackeray said that he will make sure the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra is from the Shiv Sena party.
