Shahrukh Khan’s Own OTT Platform - SRK+
Shahrukh Khan took forward his social media handles to share the news of releasing his own OTT platform SRK+- What's the full story?
OTT means online streaming service that provides content over the internet replacing the old traditional mediums like TV Cable, CD/DVD’s, Cinema Halls etc. India already has around 40 such OTT platforms. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zee5, Hotstar are some of the major ones. Shah Rukh Khan who is often referred to as the king of Bollywood announced that he is launching his own OTT platform called SRK+ On his Instagram account he posted a picture and captioned it, ‘ “Kuch Kuch Hone Wala Hai, OTT Ki Duniya Me”.
Soon after, Shahrukh posted about his OTT app on Instagram, Several others from the industry shared the news on their own handles and congratulated him. Salman Khan re-posted the same image on his Twitter handle captioning it as “Aaj Ki Party Teri Taraf Se” congratulating him on the release of his own OTT Platform.
Also, famous director & producer Anurag Kashyap is also set to collaborate with Shahrukh on his OTT platform. Several other identities like Karan Johar and many others are seen promoting SRK+ on their social media handles. However, Shahrukh Khan’s own OTT platform SRK+ might have a difficult time entering the OTT Industry, as OTT applications like Amazon Prime, Netflix & Hotstar have already established their image in the Indian Market. Moreover, according to various sources Shahrukh Khan will be returning to Bollywood with his next film co-starring Deepika Padukone “Pathan” which is expected to release in the early months of 2023. The Teaser of “Pathan” has already been released earlier. Pathan according to some sources may release on SRK’s own OTT platform SRK+
