Sameer Wankhede Made Fake SC/ST Certificate for Job

Multiple allegations of extortion & forgery have been levelled against NCB official Sameer Wankhede who is investigating the Aryan Khan case.

Fresh allegations have emerged against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede who is investigating the Aryan Khan drug case. Nawab Malik is a NCP MLA who has made some shocking allegations against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede. He even shared Wankhede’s Nikanama and said that when he got married to his first wife Dr Sabana Qureshi, Wankhede had converted to Islam. This is because he had changed his name to Sameer Dawood Wankhede. Mallik said that though Wankhede had converted to Islam he used a fake birth certificate and fake caste certificate which said he belonged to the SC/ST community to secure government jobs. The MLA said that by doing this he has deprived a deserving candidate. Nawab Malik also shared a letter he had received from an NCB official which claimed that Sameer Wankhede had violated rules and framed people in false cases to extort money. Maulana Mujammil Ahmed, came forward and said that he had performed the wedding ceremony of Wankhede and his first wife. According to him, Sameer Wankhede, his whole family, relatives, advocates and witnesses, were all Muslims during the marriage.

Ahmed said if Wankhede wasn’t a Muslim the wedding could not have been performed. Sameer Wankhede on the other hand has said that all allegations levied on him are false. Wankhede said his first marriage was under the Islamic ritual as that was his mother's wish. He never converted to Islam. He said, “Fulfilling a mother’s wish is not a crime. My mother was a Muslim and my father is a Hindu. I love both of them very much.” Sameer’s wife Kranti Redkar also got involved in this and said, “Sameer’s first marriage was registered under the Special Marriage Act which is specially meant for interfaith marriages. If Sameer had already converted to Islam, then there was no need for the Special Marriage Act.” Kranti then said, “Do you think for one person to get a government job, the entire family would be changing their castes? It's false and foolish. We have shown his caste certificate in the media. He is from a small caste, so he is being unnecessarily targeted. Nawab Ji please stop targeting my husband. Instead focus on proving the innocence of your son-in-law who was arrested by the NCB in a drug case. Do not remove your personal grudge which you have with the NCB on us.”
