A lot has happened in the past few days, and there are many updates on the case.

After the attack, Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor, gave her statement to the police. She told them that the attacker entered their house and asked a nurse for ?1 crore while showing her a knife.

Kareena was at home and heard this. She went with Saif to the room to see what was happening. When she saw the attacker, she was shocked. The attacker was asking for ?1 crore but did not touch any of the jewelry that was in front of him.

Saif tried to stop him, but the attacker hurt Saif.

Now, everyone is wondering why this man attacked Saif. What did he really want?
The police arrested the attacker. His name is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad. But what were his real intentions? How did the police catch him? Let’s find out.

After the incident, Saif’s building CCTV showed the attacker two times. First, at 1:37 am, he was seen entering the building by climbing the stairs. Then, at 2:30 am, he was seen coming down the stairs. His face was visible on the CCTV.

Based on this footage, the police arrested a man named Shahid from Girgaon because his face looked similar to the attacker's.

The Mumbai police then set up 35 teams to catch the attacker, each working in different areas.

The police arrested 3 other people in the case, but they did not give details. Meanwhile, they checked CCTVs from nearby areas and found that the attacker was roaming around in another part of Bandra. He had changed his clothes and was wearing a blue shirt to confuse the police.

After this, he went to Dadar, and the CCTV showed him walking around the Dadar market. He was even seen buying earphones from a shop there.

After buying the earphones, he took a local train and went to the Thane-Kalyan area. After the attack, Shehzad turned off his phone, which made it hard for the police to find him.

But after some time, he switched on his phone to talk to someone. He even ate Burji-Pav at a hotel in Thane and used GPay to pay for the food.

By checking the location of his phone, the police found out that he was in Thane.

Shehzad was hiding in a labor camp in Thane’s Kasarvadavli area. This camp is near an under-construction metro station. When he reached there, he asked the workers if the police had come for any reason. This made the workers suspicious, and they called the police.

The police acted quickly and reached the camp. When Shehzad saw the police, he ran into the forest nearby. The police chased him into the forest, but it was night time, making it harder to catch him.

Shehzad tried to hide under trees and leaves, but the police found him. They surrounded the forest and asked him to surrender. At around 3:30 am, Shehzad gave up and surrendered.

Shehzad was taken to Chembur police station for questioning. After his arrest, he admitted that he had attacked Saif Ali Khan. He also said that he didn’t know it was Saif’s house when he entered.

The police later held a press conference and revealed that Shehzad was a Bangladeshi citizen who had entered India illegally with fake documents. He had even changed his name to Bijoy Das.

Shehzad was working in a housekeeping company in Thane. The police also found that he had been living in India illegally for the past 7 years.

On Sunday, the police presented Shehzad in court, and the court gave them 5 days of police custody to continue the investigation.

The case is still being investigated, and ISH News will continue to bring updates.
