Rs 2.5 Crore Reward to Unfurl ‘Khalisani Flag’ on Parliament

Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has announced a reward for unfurling the "Khalistani flag" on the Indian Parliament on 1st February 1.

The Khalistan movement is a movement whose aim is to divide India and turn the Indian state of Punjab into a unilaterally run state for Sikhs. Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) is a US-based group that supports the division of Punjab from India. SFJ General Counsel is Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. He praised the unfurling of the Khalistan flag by protesting farmers at the Red Fort in Delhi when India marked its 72nd Republic Day. In a video Pannun has said that, announced a reward for unfurling the "Khalistani flag" on the Indian Parliament on February 1, when the Union Budget 2021-2022 will be presented. He said that if anyone puts the ‘Khalistani Flag’ on the Indian Parliament, then he will give them a reward of ?2.5 crore. Pannun is based in the United States and India has named him a terrorist. 

Pannun also honored Navdeep Singh Hundal, a 26-year-old protester from Uttarakhand's Bazpur area who died during the violence on 26th Jan. Singh's friends say he was shot by the police, while the police say he died after his speeding tractor overturned near the ITO junction. Protesting farmer unions have announced plans to march toward the Indian Parliament on February 1 if their demands are not met.
