Famous Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D'Souza, along with his wife Lizelle, have been accused of cheating a dancer and his troupe of ?11.96 crores. The 26-year-old dancer filed the case on 16th October 2024 at Mira Road Police Station. The complaint also names five others involved, including a policeman.

The dancer claims he and his troupe performed on a TV show, but Remo, Lizelle, and others allegedly took the prize money by pretending the troupe belonged to them. The cheating reportedly happened between 2018 and July 2024.

On 20th October 2024, Remo and Lizelle responded with a joint statement on Instagram, saying they were shocked and saddened by the false allegations. They urged people not to believe rumors and promised to share their side of the story soon. They assured full cooperation with the authorities and thanked their supporters. The investigation is ongoing.
