Rat's Head Found in Food Parcel from a Vegetarian Restaurant

Summary A rat's head was found in one of the food parcels ordered by a man from a vegetarian restaurant in Tamil Nadu.

Imagine ordering food from a veg restaurant and finding a rat’s head in the food which is delivered to you. This incident happened after a rat’s head was allegedly found in one of the food parcels ordered by a man from a vegetarian restaurant in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvannamalai district. As per a report in The Indian Express, R Murali, had ordered 35 parcels of vegetarian meals for a condolence event from a vegetarian restaurant on the afternoon of 11th September. After inspecting the meal, they found a chopped head of a rat, after which R Murali, along with his family members, reached the restaurant to enquire about the incident. The hotel, however, told them that they did not find any such thing when they parceled the food items, reported The Indian Express. Following this, R Murali reached the Arni Town police station, and based on his complaint, a case was registered. “The food samples have been sent to the laboratory for testing by the food safety authorities. The hotel management suspects foul play, said an official at the Arni Town police station. The restaurant authorities claimed that if the customer finds something when they eat at the restaurant, then there is a valid claim. However, they had found something in the parcel several hours after they took the delivery home. “We are carrying out a further enquiry on this,” added the official as reported by The Indian Express.
