Rajasthan: Deaf Girl Gang-Raped and Dumped on Road

A deaf minor girl was gangraped and dupmed on the road in Alwar, Rajasthan.Many of her organs were damaged as a sharp-edged object was inserted in her body.

A deaf girl was gang-raped inRajasthan's Alwar and thrown at the side of the road, bleeding profusely. The incident happened on 11th January. A minor deaf girl was missing from her home in Malakhera from around 4 p.m. According to reports, she was gang raped and being deaf she was unable to scream. She was bleeding profusely, still the accused kept roaming with her in the car. Since the bleeding did not stop, they threw her on the road. About 2 feet of the road was covered with blood. She was lying in pain for around an hour when she was spotted by passers-by who informed the police. The police then rushed the girl to a local hospital where she was admitted to the ICU. At the hospital,  Dr. K K Meena treated the child and rushed her to the ICU. Dr. Meena said that the girl was not able to say anything. Only when the parents came, they were informed that the girl is deaf.  Since her condition was serious, she was shifted to JK Lon Hospital, Jaipur late at night.

Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam said, "The girl is presently at JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur. Our primary concern is her health and our deputy SP Anjali is there with her. We have formed an SIT team, who are searching for evidence to arrest the accused. We came to know that the minor was missing from a nearby village . We informed her parents and they identified the kid. The parents of the victim are labourers. Apart from a deaf daughter, they have a daughter and a son.” The police are on the lookout for the accused. CCTV footage is being checked. However, the accused are yet to be identified. 

Superintendent of JK Lon Hospital, Dr Arvind Shukla said that a team of seven doctors is treating the girl. It also includes gynecologists and plastic surgeons. The girl has been badly injured by a sharp object and lost a lot of blood. The team of doctors performed a surgery for 2.5 hours. Many organs were damaged as a sharp-edged object was inserted in her body. There is a sharp cut in her private part. Doctors have performed plastic surgery and she has been shifted to the ICU. 

Tikaram Julie, MLA and  Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, and several other officials and ministers have been visiting the hospital , meeting the minor's family and have assured full support.  Apart from this, the collector has approved a help of Rs. 3.5 lakh to the minor. 

Police officials said that the incident reminded them of the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case in Delhi and now something similar has happened with his deaf minor.
