Raj Thackeray Calls For Mumbai Bandh

After receiving summons from an Enforcement Directorate officer, Raj Thackeray called for a Mumbai Bandh.

Raj Thackeray is the Chief of the political party  Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). He was asked to come and meet an investigating officer of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on thursday 22nd August. He was called to investigate a case regarding the money laundering scam of IL&FS &

Kohinoor CTNL. After the ED sent Raj a notice, he said that people of Mumbai must not leave their houses unless it is an emergency. He said that the MNS party will not be responsible if the workers become angry. The workers may do anything, this is why people must stay at home. 

Lakhs of party workers will arrive in Mumbai to accompany Raj to the ED’s office. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had warned of action against those who take law into their hands. He said that people must follow the law and not make decisions themselves. The CM said if Raj think he is innocent then there is nothing to be afraid of. Now Raj has called off the bandh. Let’s see what happens when he meets the ED officer.
