Pooran Shocks Everyone With His Extraordinary Jump

On 27th September there was a match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab. In the 8th over of Rajasthan Royals' batting, Sanju Samson smashed the ball for a sure shot six but wait! Trinidad cricketer Nicholas Pooran playing for Punjab, who was fielding near the boundary line made a full-stretched dive while hanging in the air as he held onto the ball before throwing it back outside the boundary line to save six runs. His effort made his fans, former cricketers and even film stars into frenzy. Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, “This is the best save I have seen in my life. Simply incredible!” Everyone was shocked at Pooran’s strength. In January 2015, Nicholas Pooran met with a car accident in Trinidad and injured his left leg. He was 19 years at that time.

Pooran said, “I was knocked out and then I couldn't remember what happened. I was shocked. I couldn't believe that this happened. I was taken in an ambulance, I couldn't move my legs. The first thing that he asked the doctors when he woke up was if he could play cricket again. Initially the doctors were not sure about his playing future. Only after the surgery, they would know. Pooran had to do two surgeries. According to Pooran, the therapy after the surgeries helped him in making a comeback to cricket and it took him more than 18 months. Now look at him, he is fit and playing cricket very well.
