Pathaan Breaks Record and Earns 100 Crore on Day 1

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan broke all box office records and earned 100 crore world wide on the first day of its release.

Pathaan marked the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan after four years. The movie has been directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films.  The movie was released in 3 languages - Hindi and dubbed Tamil and Telugu all over the world on 25th January 2023.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on the first day of its release Pathaan (Hindi) collected a record-breaking ? 55 crore at the box office. This is despite the boycott call that became viral after its song created controversy. Pathaan is now the "biggest opener" in Hindi cinema. Pathaan's opening day collection takes it past the Hindi dubbing of KGF: Chapter 2.

Pathaan witnessed audiences in huge numbers at theatres for early morning shows. Across India, the fans were spotted celebrating the release by bursting crackers and dancing to the dhol beats.

Not just at the domestic box office, Pathaan has received a terrific response in the overseas market as well. Shah Rukh Khan has a massive fan following abroad.  So with this, Pathaan made a huge profit from its overseas markets on day one. It is the first Hindi film to cross a total Rs 102 crore on day 1 in India and abroad.  The film is expected to cross 100 crores in India by this weekend.
Another surprising factor in the film is Salman Khan. Salman Khan appears in a cameo as his character from the Tiger films. Salman fans too are elated and thronging the theatre to see their favourite star.
