Sadly corruption in India is the problem no one could deny. It is now a part of our working system and has taken deep roots restricting the overall development of the country.

In another such incident from Maharashtra. A lady traffic police officer was caught on camera while she was taking bribes from a woman. The cop in the video was identified as Swati Sonnar who was deployed in Pimpri- Chinchwad area of Maharashtra. A video of the incident which has gone viral on social media shows the woman sitting on a two-wheeler while her companion is standing beside her. A lady traffic cop is standing on her other side while the second woman walks to the traffic cop and has a quick conversation with her. The woman then takes out a note from her pocket and carefully slips it into the pocket of the traffic cop while she pretends to be busy with her phone. After this, the cop gives the women a nod that they can leave. While the two women are wearing face masks, the traffic cop is seen wearing a cloth around her mouth and nose. The camera then moves to show there are other police officers standing nearby. Soon after the video went viral, senior officials launched an inquiry, and the lady police officer was immediately suspended from her service.

However, this video of a traffic police officer shamelessly accepting a bribe  actually went viral in December 2020 with the caption “No GooglePay, No Phone Pe, Direct Pocket Pe." has again started to resurface online. Although the video is now almost one and a half years old, the act in the video is shameless and shocking.
