Nayanthara is an Indian actress and film producer who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan found love on a film set, where she was the actor and he was directing the project in 2015. They have been dating since then. Yesterday on 9th June, the couple got married in Chennai in an intimate ceremony. Images of their wedding went viral on social media. The wedding was a star-studded affair, what with some of the biggest names from the Indian film industry in attendance.
Rajinikanth, Vijay, Shah Rukh Khan, Kamal Haasan, producer Boney Kapoor, etc. also attended the wedding. Both Nayanthara and Vignesh wore custom-made outfits from the label JADE by Monica and Karishma. The actress exuded regal charm in a red saree. She wore layered necklaces, a dainty maang tikka, oversized studs and ornate bangles to complement her wedding saree. Vignesh kept it simple yet elegant in a kurta and veshti with a shawl.
Many said her wedding outfit looked similar to Priyanka Chopra’s wedding lehenga. According to reports, Nayanthara has bought a bungalow worth Rs 20 crores for Vignesh. Nayanthara has also gifted 30 pieces of sovereign gold jewelry to Vignesh’s sister Aishwarya. The actor also gifted a lot of extravagant things to her close relatives. Vignesh also left no stone unturned to make this day special for Nayanthara. According to reports, Vignesh bought all the gold Nayanthara wore during the wedding ceremony worth Rs 2.5 to 3 crore. Apart from this, Vignesh also gifted Nayanthara a diamond ring worth Rs 5 crore.
The couple booked an entire resort with 129 rooms. This resort is located in Mahabalipuram. Not many know that Mahabalipuram was not the first choice for a wedding. The first choice for the venue was Tirupati but they shifted the wedding due to logistical issues. The couple will not be going for their honeymoon now. Once they finish their film work, they will go somewhere abroad for honeymoon.
