Nashik Malegaon Girl Case: What Really Happened
A devastating incident has shocked the Malegaon area of Nashik district, Maharashtra, where a 3 to 4-year-old girl was raped and brutally murdered. The little girl was reportedly crushed to death with a stone.
The victim was playing in an open area near her home while her mother and grandfather were inside. When the family noticed she had been missing for over an hour, they began searching and contacted the police around 7 pm for assistance.
Police teams arrived and questioned other children who had been playing with the girl. They revealed that a man had lured her away by offering chocolate. Acting quickly on this information, the police moved to the suspect's home and searched the nearby area. The girl's body was discovered dumped in bushes inside a mobile tower compound close to the suspect's house. Reports indicated she was either found dead or in critical condition, dying while receiving treatment.
Police immediately detained the suspect, identified as Vijay Khairnar (24), a resident of the same village who is employed at a construction site. Khairnar confessed to the crime.
Preliminary investigation suggests the motive stems from an old fight. The accused reportedly had a fight with the girl's father about a month ago and committed the "satanic act" out of anger.
The victim's relatives, demanding justice, gathered at Malegaon General Hospital and blocked a road in protest. They demanded that the accused be publicly hanged to serve as a deterrent. The accused is currently in police custody.
