Ahead of the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pakistani sister Qamar Mohsin Shaikh sent the sacred thread--Rakhi and wished him for the 2024 general election.
Yes, you heard it right, On 7th August, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh, a Pakistani-origin woman who now lives in India after her marriage and has been living here since then, has claimed that she has been tying Rakhi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for over 23-24 years. While talking to ANI, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh said, "I have been tying Rakhi to Narendra Bhai for the last 23-24 years, excited to do it this time too. Talking about her memories, she said that her first Rakshan Bandhan with Prime Minister Modi was when he was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker.
"When I first tied rakhi to Narendra Bhai, he was just a worker but with his sheer hard work and vision, he has become the PM," she further added. Also while talking to the ANI, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh said she has made all preparations and is expected to meet PM Modi this time. She said that she is hoping that PM Modi will call her to Delhi this time. She also mentioned that she has made rakhi for Narendra Modi with her own hands using a Reshmi ribbon with an embroidery design. A couple of years back, PM Modi had called her to Delhi.
She said, I wrote a letter and prayed for long and healthy life. Keep doing good work like you are doing.”
About the 2024 election, she said, "There is no doubt he will be the PM again. He deserves this because he has those capabilities and I wish him to be PM of India every time," she added.
