Muslim Board Petitions To Review Ayodhya Verdict
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has decided to review the Supreme Courts verdict regarding the Ayodhya case.
The Supreme Court had ordered for the disputed Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir land to be given to the Hindus to build a temple. The SC had ordered the Central Government to form a trust and manage the building of the temple. The SC had given Muslims 5-acres in a different part of Ayodhya to build a Mosque.The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is not happy with this decisdion. They will file a petition to review the SC’s decision.
The AIMPLB held a meeting yesterday on 17th November, the President said that he knows that the petition will be rejected. But It is our right. The Sunni Central Waqf Board were representing the Muslims in the SC for the Ayodhya case. The Board has said that they will accept the 5-acre plot, for building a mosque in Ayodhya.Board Chairman Zafar Farooqui had said that they respect the verdict and will not file a review petition.
