Mukesh Ambani in the Race to Buy Liverpool?

Reliance industries chief & Billionaire Mukesh Ambani is one of the players in the race to buy the world famous English football club Liverpool FC.

Football might not be a very popular sport in India, but we Indians are everywhere. If you are a fan of football, or even if you know about it even a little, you might have definitely heard the name of “Liverpool”. Let us tell you that similarly to the IPL in cricket, there is a tournament called the English Premier League in Football which is considered as the top tier tournament in football. And similarly like the IPL teams, “Liverpool” is a football team from Liverpool, England. The team is quite very popular amongst all football fans from different parts of the world. The team is owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who bought the club in October 2010. The current owners have reportedly requested Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to help them in selling this expensive possession.

A report said that FSG wants to sell the club for 4 billion euros. Now, much more shockingly, Indian business tycoon, Reliance industries Chief & Billionaire Mukesh Ambani is one of the players in the race to buy the world famous English football club Liverpool FC and has inquired about the club.

But Ambani will have to fend off competition to buy the club from the Middle East and the US. However, Mukesh Ambani is not a stranger to sports, owning the Indian Premier League’s (IPL’s) Mumbai Indians, MI Emirates’ in UAE’s International League T20 and ‘MI Cape Town’ in Cricket South Africa T20 League. and helping football’s Indian Super League besides being one of the commercial partners of All India Football Federation (AIFF).
