Meerut 'Blue Drum' Murder Accused Muskan Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Muskan Rastogi, accused of killing her husband, gave birth to a baby girl in jail while Saurabh’s family demanded DNA tests for both children.

In March 2025, Muskan Rastogi was arrested for allegedly drugging, stabbing, dismembering and hiding her husband Saurabh Rajput’s body in a blue drum filled with cement, with the help of her lover Sahil Shukla. ISH News has covered this case earlier. Muskan is currently lodged in Meerut district jail.

On 24 November 2025, Muskan gave birth to a baby girl named Radha. She had been admitted to Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College late at night on 23 November, and doctors confirmed a normal delivery. The newborn weighed 2.4 kg. Muskan had earlier planned to name the child Krishna if it were a boy, but after learning it was a girl, she named her Radha. Both mother and child were stable after delivery.

Hospital officials tried to inform Muskan’s family, but nobody came to visit her. Her family had already disowned her, refused to provide legal aid and even demanded the death penalty for her. Extra police were deployed at the hospital for security.

Radha was born on the same date as Saurabh’s birthday. Saurabh’s family demanded a DNA test, saying the baby could be Sahil’s child. They have also asked for a paternity test for Muskan and Saurabh’s first child, saying they will take responsibility only if both children are biologically Saurabh’s. They expressed concerns about the children’s safety with Muskan.

According to prison rules, a child may stay with the mother until age six. Radha will receive clothes, food and medical care from the jail administration. The murder trial is ongoing, and both Muskan and Sahil are receiving medical support and de-addiction therapy inside jail.
