Man Carries 2 Children While Delivery Zomato Orders

A recent video showed a woman mercilessly thrashing a delivery guy in the middle of the road with her footwear.

Food delivery is considered as a difficult job keeping the hardship in mind across bad weather, inappropriate schedules, and long working hours. However, not everyone respects the hardworking nature of the food delivery agents, the ill-treatment of delivery agents is not new. 

A recent video showed a woman mercilessly thrashing a delivery guy in the middle of the road. A Twitter user named “bogas04” posted the video . The clip showed the woman hitting the delivery guy with her footwear. Following the incident, the delivery partner was in tears and feared losing his job. The video was posted with the caption, "Hi @zomatocare @zomato, the delivery executive got assaulted while delivering my order (#4267443050). Some woman took the order from him and started hitting him with her footwear. He came to my place crying and terrified that he would lose his job." The man who posted the clip also told Twitter users that he contacted Zomato's customer service. He said he tried calling the customer care, but they weren't able to understand and weren't helpful. He told them that he didn't care about the order. He mentioned that their delivery partner got assaulted and requested their help, but they asked him to tell riders to contact rider support. He tried that, but they didn't understand Kannada, and of course, he was scared to lose his job.

Fortunately, Zomato responded to the thread and assured that they will look into the matter immediately.

Meanwhile, In another incident, Saurabh Panjwani, a food blogger, uploaded a video on Instagram introducing his followers to a delivery partner who carries his daughter and toddler son while delivering food orders. Panjwani's video shows a person who had been assigned to deliver the food he had ordered. 

Panjawani asks the delivery partner about their work and the children, to which the person informs that he carries his little daughter with him and his son who is also not very old helps with the deliveries at work. The video has gone viral with over 1 million views and gained several reactions after it was shared three weeks ago by the food blogger. Zomato has also replied to the video. They enquired about the delivery agent's contact details to assist him with child care benefits.
