Man Sells Rs 50k Worth Pani Puri for Free
To do away with the stigma of a girl child being born, a man gave away pani-puri worth ?50 thousand, for free.
For many years, the birth of a boy child is celebrated, whereas when a girl is born, the family often gets sad.
A father was filled with happiness when he learnt of the birth of his daughter. Soon his relatives and friends started saying “Oh so sad its a girl”, “bad luck. Next time try again for a boy’, “Oh god now you will face money problems because of her marriage”, etc
These reactions of people shocked him.
He then decided to celebrate his daughter’s arrival by distributing Pani Puri worth Rs 50,000 for free on 12 September, so that he could show the world that there should be no discrimination between a girl and a boy.
He set up three pani puri stalls in the city’s Kolar area and told everyone that from 1 pm to 6 pm pani puris would be given free of cost.
The message spread like wildfire and hundreds of people arrived there. He said that, “I wanted to prove that every parent should feel proud that they are lucky to have a girl child.”
