A 30-year-old nurse in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, was allegedly gang-raped after mistakenly entering the wrong hotel room on 17th December 2025.
The woman, who is married and has an infant child, had gone to meet a friend at a hotel near the railway station to seek financial help. She accidentally reached room 205 instead of her friend’s room 105. Inside, three men – 27-year-old Ghanshyam Rathod, 25-year-old Kiran Rathod, both bank recovery agents, and 25-year-old Rishikesh Chavan, an MBA student – were having a small party.
According to police, when she asked for her friend, the men lied and dragged her into the room. They locked the door and forced her to drink alcohol before allegedly gang-raping her throughout the night. The woman managed to escape around 3–4 am and immediately ran to Vedant Nagar Police Station to report the crime.
Inspector Pravina Yadav said a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for gang rape, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation. Using CCTV footage, local intelligence, and technical inputs, the police traced and arrested all three men within three hours of the complaint.
All three accused are currently in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing.
