Kejriwal Demands Pictures of Hindu Gods on Currency Notes

Arvind Kejriwal, on 26th of October has demanded that photos of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh must also be carried on currency notes besides Mahatma Gandhi.

Last week, the Delhi government, led by CM Arvind Kejriwal, had announced that anybody bursting firecrackers in Delhi till 1st January, 2023 can be fined Rs 200 and jailed for up to six months. Meanwhile, now, Arvind Kejriwal, on Wednesday, 26th of October, has demanded that photos of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh must also be carried on Indian currency notes besides Mahatma Gandhi. However, soon after Kejriwal's demand surfaced in the public, the BJP was quick to point out that his pro-Hindu tone was a result of people targeting and condemning him for his anti-Hindu stance on Diwali fire crackers. The BJP also added that suddenly Kejriwal’s identity has turned pro Hindu and this turn of ideology is nothing but it is just aimed at gathering votes of Hindus in the upcoming state assembly elections in Gujarat.

Soon after Kejriwal made an appeal about the photos on currency note, BJP Delhi spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga shared a clip on Twitter where he alleged the Delhi CM saying that Kejriwal tried to send Hindu kids in jail for bursting crackers. He also demanded Hindus to give a befitting reply. Moreover, several of his old video clips with Arvind Kejriwal’s Anti Hindu remarks started to surf on the internet. A video clip of him from 2014 surfaced where he had said that Shri Ram could not live in a Temple that was built after the demolition of a Masjid. Several other social media users and BJP Worker called Kejriwal an opportunist Hindu, who becomes Hindu only during the election in order to get votes. What do you think about Kejriwal’s demand?
