KDDF Organises Onam Festivities for the Deaf

Kollam District Deaf Forum (KDDF) organized a beautiful and successful Onam event for the Deaf in Kollam, Kerala

You all are aware that Onam is Kerala's most popular festival. During Onam there are many different events like boat race, lemon and spoon race, dance, competitions etc. To celebrate the festival, a Deaf event was held on 21st August 2022 in Kollam, Kerala.

The event was organized by Kollam District Deaf Forum (KDDF) which is affiliated to All Kerala Association of the Deaf (AKAD) The President of KDDF is Shamnad S and the General Secretary is Nishad N. who organized the event.

President Shamnad first contacted Ajman Jan S who agreed to support the event. He then contacted a person named J S from Dubai. Shamnad even contacted BISMI Group and Kevin, a native of Kerala who is now living in the United Kingdom. All four of them agreed to support Shamnad for Onam's cultural festivities for the Deaf. They donated 85 electronic items like TV, Refrigerator etc. Wonderful! These 85 things were to be given as gifts for lucky draw. Amazing! Also, there were a lot of competitions and games like lemon and spoon, dance, etc. The Onam festivity event was beautifully organized with the support of Ajman and the 3 others, KDDF could organize a successful event.
