Kanpur Cops Stealing Mobile and Bulb Caught on Camera

Now in a shocking incident caught on camera, the condition is reversed and two policemen are caught stealing a mobile phone.

Right from our childhood days we were always taught that the police catch the ones who steal or do bad to someone. However, now in a shocking incident caught on camera, the condition is reversed and two policemen are caught stealing a mobile phone. A constable from Uttar Pradesh police was caught stealing a mobile phone from a man sleeping on the road on 9th of October in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The video of the incident was caught on CCTV, after which the constable was suspended. While patrolling at night in Kanpur’s Maharajpur area, the constable stole the mobile of a man sleeping near the road. It can be seen in the video that Constable Pragesh Singh goes to the man sleeping in the verandah and runs away after stealing his mobile phone.

After the video went viral, the police officers investigated the matter, and the constable was identified as Pragesh Singh in Maharajpur police station. Additional SP Vijendra Dwivedi said a detailed investigation was underway after his identification was completed. A Home Guard jawan named Laik Singh was also on the spot with the constable.  Soon action will be taken against the Home Guard jawan as well. The victim, identified as Nitin Singh, was sleeping on the verandah of the shop. Nitin Singh, has filed a complaint against the accused constable Pragesh Singh and home guard Laik Singh in Maharajpur police station for theft of a mobile. Days after the cop in UP was caught stealing a phone, another cop in the state has now been caught stealing a bulb.

The video of the theft went viral on social media. The incident was reported from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and the cop is Rajesh Verma. Following the incident’s video going viral, the cop was suspended. In the now gone viral video, constable Verma can be seen approaching a closed shop. He secretly glances around and removes an LED bulb outside the closed shop. He casually puts the bulb in his pocket and walks away from the scene. Next morning, when the shopkeeper noticed the bulb missing, checked the CCTV footage. The shopkeeper was obviously shocked at seeing a policeman stealing a bulb so casually. Meanwhile, the now suspended cop argued that he simply removed the bulb and took it to the spot where he was stationed, as it was dark there.
