Kangana Ranaut Wins National Award

The Central government has announced the 67th National Film Award for the films from the year 2019. Kangana Ranaut received the best actress award.

The Central government has announced the 67th National Film Award for films from the year 2019. The award ceremony was initially going to be held in May last year, however, it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event is organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The awards honour the best of the talents from across various film industries in the country including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Marathi among others. 

Kangana Ranaut received the best actress award for the film Manikarnika and Panga. Actors Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush were announced as Best Actors. Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore was awarded the Best Hindi film award. Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea was the Best Feature Film. India's entry to the Oscars, Jallikattu, won in the Best Cinematography category. Sikkim was announced at the Most Film Friendly state for smoothly facilitating a series of big and small projects.
