J&K Police Arrest Dangerous Terrorist in Samba District

In a major breakthrough, a terrorist was arrested in a joint operation of the Anantnag Police and the Samba Police from the outskirts of Jammu city.

On the outskirts of Jammu city on 13th February in Samba District, a terrorist was arrested by the Anantnag Police and the Samba Police. The name of the terrorist was Zahoor Ahmad Rather and he was a part of a terrorist group called The Resistance Front (TRF).  This is the frontal name of the Pakiatani group LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba). Zahoor is the second-in-command at TRF after Abbas Sheikh. Zahoor had killed three BJP workers and one policeman. Anantnag Police SSP Sandeep Chaudhary confirmed the arrest but refused to give further details. Top sources in the security establishment suggest that terrorist Zahoor was in Samba to collect a weapons’ which were to be sent to Pakistan through a drone. But by arresting Zahoor the police spoiled the terrorists' plans. The Police recovered 15 small IEDs Bombs and six pistols. 

On 6 February terrorist Hidayat-Ullah Malik from the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was arrested. Malik has now confessed, saying following directions of his Pakistani handler identified as ‘Doctor’, on May 25, 2019 he had recorded videos of important places at New Delhi, including National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval's office. Doval has been on the hit list of terror groups operating from Pakistan since the 2016 Uri surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes. He is one of India’s most protected personalities. After Malik confessed Doval’s security has been increased.
