Israel Govt Lifts Public Mask Rule

Israel has lifted a public mask mandate and fully reopened its education system following its mass vaccination drive.

According to the Israel’s Health Ministry, since the start of the COVID pandemic last year, Israel has recorded over 8,36,000 cases and 6,331 deaths. In such a short time they have been able to vaccinate 53% of Israel's population against the coronavirus. Because of this the number of deaths & serious cases have reduced. After the vaccination, Israel has now fully reopened all their schools. Since the last 1 year people have been required to wear masks in public places (roads/ parks/ beaches / outside). Now Health officials have ended this rule. People in Israel do not need to wear masks in public places now. But masks still have to be worn indoors and in large gatherings. It also announced last week that people who are fully vaccinated can visit Israel from May onwards. Dr Nachman Ash is an important person in Israel who is responsible for managing the Coronavirus outbreak. He said after doing proper research they have taken the decision to remove the rule of wearing masks and start schools.
