Indian Student in Ukraine Army Wants to Come Back

R. Sainikesh, an Indian student who volunteered in the Ukrainian army to fight in the war, has decided to come back to India.

The Russian Army is now close to Kyiv the capital of Ukraine. Russia is attacking from the air and on land as well. Fresh talks have been initiated to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Mykhailo Podolyak, Ukraine's chief negotiator and Presidential assistant uploaded a photo of the video conference with Russian officials on Twitter. Thankfully all Indian students who were stuck in Ukraine were all brought back to India. A 21-year-old Indian aerospace engineering student in Ukraine R. Sainikesh had joined the Ukraine army in the Russia-Ukraine war. We had released a video on this earlier. You can check it out here. Sainikesh were shocked and when they asked their son to return to India, he had refused. He had always been desperate to join the Indian army but was rejected because of his height. Recently Sainikesh’s family said that after speaking to Sainikesh he has agreed to come back to India. This is why they are requesting the Indian government to help them get their son back. 

 

However, now the Indian government said that if he wants to come back, Sainikesh has to contact the Indian government himself. Plus he has not approached the Indian Embassy. It is not easy to trace someone in a war. As and when we get updates we will let you all know. Brent Renaud, 50, was a journalist and filmmaker from the USA who was working in Ukraine has died in the war. 

It is the first reported death of a foreign journalist covering the war in Ukraine.
