You all are aware about Seema Haider who illegally came to India with her 4 children to meet her friend Sachin Meena. We covered that topic in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw3_xh6QUlA

Now a similar incident has occurred where a married Indian woman went to Pakistan to meet her friend. However, unlike Seema Haider, this woman has gone legally with a 1 month visa. There were several media reports that a 34 year old married Indian woman named Anju from Bhiwadi in the Alwar district of Rajasthan had gone to Pakistan to meet her friend. On 23rd July 2023 police reached Anju’s home to enquire about her whereabouts after media reports were published on the case. Her husband Arvind Kumar told the police that Anju left home on 20th July 2023 on the pretext of going to Amritsar but later she told her sister that she was in Lahore and later he also spoke to her. Anju, an employee of a private firm has been married to Arvind for 16 years and the couple have two children. She is said to have met 29 year old Nasarullah on Facebook in 2019 and decided to meet in Pakistan. Arvind said, “Anju got her passport made two years back. Though she never went abroad, she has to keep going to many places for her work. But she didn’t tell me that she is going to Pakistan. But she said that she will be back in three to four days. I don’t want to file any complaint immediately with the police.” Arvind expressed hope that Anju would return and said he was unaware of her social media connections. Anju travelled to Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to meet Nasrulla. She went with a legal one month visa and travelled through the Wagah - Attari border.
Nasrulla has given an affidavit to local Pakistani authorities, stating that there is no love angle to their friendship, and Anju will return to India when her visa expires. Nasrulla clarified that Anju is staying in a separate room at his home, alongside other female members of his family. He further confirmed that they have no intention of getting married and that Anju will go back to her country on 20th August 2023 after her visa expires. The SHO of Upper Dir police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Javed Khan said, “The two visited the police station on 21st July as per the protocol for a foreign national’s visit. The woman has a valid visa for 30 days. We didn’t find any illegal immigration issues. We will provide them with complete security from our side so that they can maintain their privacy.” The villagers in Nasrulla’s village are majority of Pashtuns who are religious people. They also want Anju to return safely to India as they do not want any bad name for their community due to this incident. Meanwhile, Seema Haider has written to President Murmu for mercy and also requested her to give her Indian citizenship. Regarding Anju, we will have to wait and watch.
