Jugraj Bheel, aged 26 unknowingly entered into Pakistani territory through Jaisalmer, 6 years ago. He was caught travelling without a ticket, and was arrested and put in jail. In May last year, he was traced to a jail in Karachi. His family demanded for his safe return.

Charmesh Sharma, who is the General Secretary of the State Youth Congress, and Bheel’s parents met  Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC Chief) Sachin Pilot. In June 2018. Pilot then wrote a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs, asking them to begin efforts to get Bheel back. Finally, on 5th May, 2019, Bheel reached home in Rampuria village, in Bundi.

Bheel’s 60 year old mother Pannabai was very happy to see her son again. With tears in her eyes, she claimed that God exists as he brought her son back from Pakistan. Her Husband, Bharion Lal Bheel, aged 65 was so emotional that he couldn't even speak. Bheel’s friends and the other villagers greeted him with flowers, and took pictures with him. His family was shocked to see a part of his left ear missing. Charmesh Sharma, said that Bheel was scared to even speak. This shows that he was severely tortured in the Pakistani jail. He couldn’t even recognise his family.
