India To Rescue Hindus & Sikhs Stuck in Afghanistan

Afghanistan is going through a very unfortunate time with its residents desperate to flee the country at any cost to evade the Taliban regime. Watch our latest video for all the details.

As you all must know by now, the terrorist group ‘Taliban’ has taken the country of Afghanistan. Its former President Ashraf Ghani ran away to Tajikistan but when his flight was not allowed to land he had to land in Oman. He may now go to the USA. Men & women in the country are in a state of panic. Shocking visuals emerged of thousands of people mobbing Kabul's airport in a bid to flee the Taliban’s feared rule. In one such horrific video that has since gone viral on social media, 3 people were seen falling off a giant plane that had reportedly taken off from Kabul minutes ago. Locals near the Kabul Airport told local media that they saw three men hiding themselves next to the wheels of the aircraft and later falling on the rooftop of nearby houses. Another video showed hundreds of people running alongside a US Air Force aircraft that is about to take off and a bunch of people sitting on the wings of the plane, trying to hold on to its body.  At Least 5 people were killed at the Kabul airport. It is unclear if gunshots or the stampede killed them.

There were many news reports about female college students & professors told to go back home by the Taliban. Female employees at banks & offices were also told to go back home and send their male relatives to work. There was a time when women independently roamed the streets, wore what they wanted like skirts, dresses, etc, worked, and now women are afraid they willo be made sex slaves by being forcibly married to Taliban fighters and small girls are not even allowed to go to school. The Taliban has even changed the name of the country from Afghanistan to the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”. In a message posted to social media, Taliban co-founder Abdul Ghani Baradar called on his fighters to remain disciplined after taking control of Kabul. He reassured the world that Afghans should not fear them, and said they will not take revenge against those who supported the US-backed alliance.

Currently all commercial flights have stopped in Afghanistan. Only military flights have been allowed to land. Indian citizens scrambling to escape the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan are facing several challenges, ranging from the inability to get in touch with any embassy official and a sealed airport to difficulties in getting Covid test reports as necessitated by the Indian government for taking a flight. India on Monday 16 August said it will take all steps for the safety of Indians in Afghanistan and facilitate the repatriation of Sikhs and Hindus who wish to leave the war-torn country. Sikh and Hindu families have taken refuge inside a gurdwara in Kabul waiting to leave the country and come to India. India had kept C 17 Globemasters on standby for evacuation missions. They will soon leave for Afghanistan to pick to rescue Indians.

While in the USA, people have been protesting outside the White House against US President Joe Biden’s decision to call back its army. Protestors have urged the US government to send the army back to stop the Taliban. President Joe Biden broke days of silence and said, “" Our mission in Afghanistan was never supposed to have been nation-building. The aim was to protect America from terrorist groups in the country. I stand squarely behind my decision. After 20 years, I've learned the hard way that there was never a good time to withdraw US forces.I am the President of the USA and the buck stops with me.” China shares a 76-kilometre border with Afghanistan. China long feared Afghanistan would be used as a base for terrorists to plot attacks against China. The Taliban met with Chinese government officials last month and promised that no terrorism against China will happen in Afghanistan. In exchange, China offered economic support and investment for Afghanistan's reconstruction. Now after the Taliban took control of Kabul, a Chinese government spokesperson has said, “China is ready to deepen "friendly and cooperative" relations with Afghanistan.
