You are aware that the Hamas group attacked Israel from the Gaza strip with 5000 rockets on 7th October 2023. Thereafter Israel launched a massive attack on Hamas. ISH News had released these videos related to the news. Now there are several updates. The war between Israel and Hamas is still going on with massive destruction on both sides. The war has reportedly resulted in about 1,500 Israelis and over 3,000 Palestinians being killed. At least 500 people were killed after an airstrike hit the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza on 17th October. Palestinian officials accused Israel of a massacre. However, Israel has pinned the blame on a rocket misfired by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a Hamas ally. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) alleged technical evidence of a reportedly audio recording of an alleged conversation between two Palestinian terrorists, admitting that the rocket was theirs. The IDF's initial investigation indicates that the rocket was launched near the hospital to attack an Israeli target. The airstrike reportedly killed nearly 500 people, which is the highest number of single-day casualties in Gaza during the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

US President Joe Biden arrived in Tel Aviv on 18th October 2023 to express solidarity with Israel. His meeting with the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine was called off after the attack on the hospital. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued fresh warnings to the residents of northern Gaza asking them to relocate to the southern part of the strip or they would be seen as supporters of "terrorist organizations. The alerts were reportedly distributed through leaflets bearing the IDF name and emblem and Israel's military has also been reportedly sending out audio messages warning people through cell phones throughout the Gaza Strip. Israel's military spokesperson Admiral Daniel Hagari reportedly said, “We are increasing the strikes and minimizing the danger and therefore I called on Gaza City residents to continue moving south for their safety," Egypt opened the "humanitarian aid corridor" via the Rafah border to allow aid trucks into Gaza to help people affected by the war. The corridor serves as the only functioning passage between the Gaza Strip and the rest of the world. Since the start of the war, Gazans have been queuing up on the border, looking for an escape. The United Nations confirmed that a 20-truck convoy entered Gaza, providing life-saving supplies to residents.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in which he assured that India would continue providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. PM Modi also offered his condolences for the civilian lives lost in the recent bombing at a Gaza hospital. After the conversation, India has sent 6.5 tons of medical aid and 32 tons of disaster relief material to war-hit Palestine. Separately, Qatar authorities claimed that they were currently in talks with Hamas to secure the release of over 200 hostages taken by the group on 7th October and held in Gaza. Following Qatari mediation, two American hostages were freed on 20th October with the possibility of more being released "very soon." Pro-Palestine demonstrations have taken place across the world to demand Israel stop its attacks on Gaza. Protesters in London, UK; Ireland, France, Germany etc marched through the streets, waving Palestinian flags and chanting “stop bombing Gaza”.

Four persons were arrested by the police for allegedly defacing the flag of Israel in Bhendi Bazaar area of Mumbai. A video of the incident, which took place at a junction in the Bhendi Bazaar area on Tuesday night, has surfaced on social media platforms. In the video, a group of people can be seen defacing the Israeli flag. A close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that a new world war is about to begin between the West and Muslims across the world. He also declared that Russia would back Muslims by providing them with weapons. Amid the Israel-Hamas war, neighboring Lebanon's Hezbollah announced support for Hamas and fired rockets at Israel, which retaliated, causing the deaths of civilians and journalists. However, it is being reported that the United States has urged Israel not to start a war with Hezbollah. Meanwhile, India has evacuated 1200 Indians and 18 Nepalis from Israel through Operation Ajay. According to official figures, there are around 18,000 Indians in Israel and all of them have been asked to register with the Indian embassy so that it will be easy to know their locations in case they have to be evacuated and more flights will be arranged if needed.
