India Pakistan World Cup Debate
Indian cricket fraternity in in two minds about the World Cup match with Pakistan. The BCCI urges the cricket community to boycott all future matches with Pakistan.
Many people in India are demanding that India not play with Pakistan in the 2019 ICC World Cup, which will be held in England. If India decides not to play the match they will lose 2 points in the World Cup. Cricketers in India have different views about this situation.
Harbhajan Singh said that India should not play with Pakistan, as the country comes first. He said it is okay if we lose 2 points. India is a strong team. The Pulwama attack was very shocking, not playing the match will send a strong message to Pakistan. Ex Captain of the Indian Team Sourav Ganguly said that we should stop associating with Pakistan in all areas, not only cricket. He said India should not play the match at any cost.
Sachin Tendulkar said that why should India lose 2 points? The Indian team is very strong and is capable of defeating Pakistan. He also said that, his country comes first. He will listen to whatever the government decides. Sunil Gavaskar said that India should not back of from the match. India will lose 2 points and give it as a gift to Pakistan. He said In the last 6 cricket matches with Pakistan, India has never lost. Even this time India will win.
No decision has been made yet. The BCCI wrote a letter to the ICC. In that letter the BCCI said they are worried about the safety of the Indian cricket team and the fans who will travel to England for the match The BCCI has also told the cricket community to stop all cricket matches with Pakistan, because of the Pulwama attack.
