The Taliban is a terrorist group in Afghanistan and they are trying to capture the country. The Afghanistan Government & their army have been fighting against them for a long time. Even the USA had sent its army to the country to assist the government. However, recently the USA called all its soldiers back. Since then Taliban-led violence has increased in Afghanistan. They are rapidly capturing territory. Many people have accused Pakistan PM Imran Khan of hiding Taliban terrorists in Pakistan. Pakistan has also been accused of helping Afghanistan financially.

In an interview with PBS Newshour that aired on Tuesday 27 July night, Imran Khan said that, “The USA has made a huge mess by helping Afghanistan by sending its soldiers.” When questioned about recent news claiming 10,000 Pakistani fighters have crossed over the Afghanistan border to assist the Taliban, Khan said, “"This is absolute nonsense. Does anyone have any evidence of this? Pakistan has set up camps for lakhs of Afghanistan refugees who left the country because of the fighting. We have many refugee camps. How is Pakistan supposed to catch the Taliban people? Also the Taliban are not some military outfits or terrorists. They are normal civilians.” People across the world were stunned by his statements.
