How Fadnavis Became the Comeback KING of Maharashtra?
Devendra Fadnavis, after facing several challenges, has become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra again, showcasing determination and hard work.
Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra on December 4, 2024, at a grand ceremony in Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar also became the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state.
Fadnavis' journey to becoming Chief Minister again was not easy. He was the CM from 2014 to 2019, during which he made significant improvements in Maharashtra, bringing in investments and boosting the state's economy. In 2019, the BJP and Shiv Sena fought elections together, but after the results, Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray demanded the CM post for his party. Despite an agreement on a 50/50 formula, BJP disagreed, and Uddhav Thackeray did not answer Fadnavis' calls, leaving Fadnavis disappointed.
Later, Ajit Pawar briefly joined the BJP to form a government, but it lasted less than 80 hours. Uddhav Thackeray then formed the Maha-Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government with the NCP and Congress. Fadnavis became the leader of the opposition and began highlighting the MVA government’s failures. He never gave up, even when he was told he would not become CM again.
With his strong relationships with political leaders, Fadnavis worked hard to uncover disagreements within the MVA government. This led to Eknath Shinde splitting from Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, taking more than 30 MLAs with him, which caused the MVA government to collapse. Shinde, supported by the BJP, became the CM, and Fadnavis became the Deputy CM.
Despite criticism, Fadnavis trusted his leaders and continued to work hard. In 2024, when the BJP faced a tough challenge in the Lok Sabha elections, Fadnavis took full responsibility for the loss. But his dedication paid off in the state elections, as the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP (Ajit Pawar) alliance won a historic 236 seats out of 288 in Maharashtra, with BJP winning 132 seats, becoming the largest party.
Finally, Fadnavis became Chief Minister again, showing that nothing is impossible with hard work and determination. His story is a perfect example of never giving up, no matter how difficult the journey.
