Harleen Deol was born on 21 June 1998 in Chandigarh, Punjab, to Baghel Singh Deol, a businessman, and Charanjit Kaur, a government employee. Though her family had no sporting background, they always encouraged her to follow her dreams. Her father often said that every household should raise daughters who can choose their own path.

Harleen started by playing cricket with boys in her neighborhood. After her family moved to Himachal, she joined the Himachal Pradesh team in Dharamsala. Her early years were full of challenges, long travels, limited facilities, and financial constraints but her determination kept her focused.

She made her domestic debut in 2013 and international debut in 2019 against England, where her confident 46 off 47 balls marked her arrival on the big stage.In 2021, Harleen’s stunning boundary catch against England went viral, earning praise from Sachin Tendulkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That moment made her a global sensation.

In March 2024, she suffered a serious ACL injury during the WPL. Her recovery was painful, but with her mother’s support, she fought through it. By the end of 2024, she returned stronger scoring 70 runs against Australia and her first ODI century against West Indies.
