Ganguly Talks About Dhoni’s Retirement
Amidst the rumours about Dhoni’s retirement, new BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has promised to discuss it with selectors and Captain Virat Kohli.
Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni has been playing cricket for 20 years. Many are now wondering when he will retire. However, nobody is sure when he will retire and Dhoni has said nothing till now. The new BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, said that he will meet cricket selectors to know what their opinion is about Dhoni. And whether they think he is fit enough to participate in future matches. He also wants to talk to Dhoni, to understand what he wants. Ganguly also said Captain Virat Kohli’s opinion is important as well but he does not expect an immediate answer from Virat and said it will take time.
Many were saying the Rishabh Pant would replace Dhoni. Ganguly said that Rishabh is not Dhoni. Rishabh will not become Dhoni in the next three-four years. It took 15 years for Dhoni to become who he is. Dhoni went on a break after the World Cup. Since the world cup, Dhoni did not participate in India's match with West Indies and South Africa. He was supposed to start playing cricket in November but he has extended his break for one more month and will not play with Bangladesh in November. He will most likely play the T20 match against West Indies in December.
