Gangster Vikas Dubey Killed in Encounter

Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey, has been killed in an encounter by the police.

Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey, was behind the cold-blooded killing of eight policemen last week. The gangster escaped and travelled through three states. A huge search was launched and the bounty on him was raised to Rs 5 lakh. Yesterday 9th July morning, he was arrested this morning from a temple in Madhya Pradesh after a nearly week-long chase. Vikas Dubey was seen buying prayer offerings at Mahakal temple in Ujjain around 8 am, according to the police. A shopkeeper recognized him and reportedly alerted security guards, they said. When he emerged from the temple, the guards questioned him. He first tried to mislead them by producing a fake ID card of a much younger man. When the guards prodded further, he hit out at the guards, who then dragged him to the police station.

Video clips of his arrest have gone viral on social media. In the video Vikas Dubey is slammed against a police van and cuffed on the head. Dubey shouts, “ Main Vikas Dubey Hoon, Kanpur wala!”. The police then shouted, “Awaaz Nahin!” and hit him on the head. At the same time two of Dubey's closest aides were killed in separate encounters in UP by the police. One of them was Aman Dubey; he was very close to Vikas. One of the three police cars taking gangster Vikas Dubey to Uttar Pradesh from Madhya Pradesh, overturned early this 10th July morning on the highway. According to sources he was killed in an encounter when he tried to escape.
