G20 Summit 2022: India’s Strong Message to the World

The G20 Summit 2022 is currently taking place in Indonesia & Narendra Modi is actively taking part in it with India’s strong message to the world.

The 2022 G20 Summit was scheduled to take place in Indonesia on 15th & 16th of November. The word G20 refers to the Group of twenty largest economically rich countries along with the soviet union in Europe. In this internationally organised informal meeting between the leaders of the world’s most powerful economies, including India, they discuss a lot.

PM Modi arrived in Bali, Indonesia on Monday and met the President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall, Netherlands PM Mark Rutte and US President Joe Bide. On the first day of the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met his United Kingdom counterpart Rishi Sunak, who has been recently elected as the prime minister of the UK. This is the first face-to-face meeting that took place between both leaders. PM Modi started his speech by congratulating Indonesia for hosting the G-20 summit. Narendra Modi earlier also addressed the G20 session on Food and Energy Security and re-emphasised India's long-standing position in favour of dialogue and diplomacy in Ukraine. He further said that climate change, the Covid pandemic, the developments in Ukraine, and the global problems associated with it have created a lot of problems in the world. Referring to India as the "holy land of Buddha and Gandhi" PM Modi said that he is confident that the next year when G20 meets, they will all agree to convey a strong message of peace to the world.

Talking about the problems during the pandemic situation, the PM said that India had ensured the food security of its 1.3 billion citizens. At the same time, food grains were also supplied to many countries in need. The current shortage of fertilisers in terms of food security is also a huge crisis. PM Modi said that all the G20 countries have to build mutual agreement to maintain the supply chain of both manure and food grains. Much more interestingly, the Indian Prime Minister also met his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. A video has also surfaced on the internet where the American President Joe Biden is seen approaching Narendra Modi for a handshake. Indians on the internet are happy about this video, as it massively portrays India’s strong image on the international level. What do you think about this?
