Engineer Arrested for Rape Threats To Virat Kohli’s Daughter

An engineer from Hyderabad has been arrested over online rape threats to Virat Kohli's baby daughter after team India lost matches in the T20 World Cup.

Vicious comments started appearing on social media after India's loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Dubai on October 24. Virat Kohli was also attacked after he spoke out against the incessant trolling of his teammate, Mohammed Shami, over his religion, after the loss. There was national outrage over the sickening threats targeting the nine-month-old daughter of cricket captain Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma last week. The Mumbai police had been investigating several social media accounts who sent such rape threats as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are residents of the city. The Mumbai Police Cyber Cell found that a man named Ramnagesh Alibathini had sent rape threats to Virat Kohli’s daughter on Twitter.

The police took screenshots of this. However, after posting the threats  Ramnagesh changed his name on his Twitter account and pretended to be a man from Pakistan.

The cops traced him to Hyderabad and arrested. Shockingly  Ramnagesh is only 23 years old and is a software engineer! He is currently unemployed and used to work for a food delivery app in the past.

He is now being brought to Mumbai where he will be produced before a local court.
