Doctor Tweets Picture Minutes Before Dying in landslide

Minutes before she was killed after her vehicle was hit by falling rocks following multiple landslides in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district.

Deepa Sharma, an Ayurveda doctor from Jaipur, Rajasthan had tweeted a lovely picture from her trip to the  Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday 25 July afternoon. In the tweet she had also written, "Standing at the last point of India where civilians are allowed. Beyond this point around 80 kms ahead we have a border with Tibet which China has occupied illegally.” Dr Deepa Sharma's Twitter is full of photographs from her trip. However, there was a dangerous landslide and boulders fell on her bus. She and 8 others died in the incident. Several others were injured. The doctor's brother, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, tweeted about her death by saying, "My sister planned the tour for her upcoming 38th birthday on 29 July. She was very happy for this planned trip. She purchased a new professional camera and a new smartphone for it. She loves nature and now my sister is in the lap of nature. May her soul rest in peace." 

Dr. Sharma's final Tweet went viral and people felt very bad for her. Many people expressed shock and lamented the deaths. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur also condoled the deaths. The PM has announced an aid of Rs. 2 lakh each for the families of those who died in the incident and Rs. 50,000 for those injured. Another interesting fact is that Deepa was also a contestant in Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2013. She had won Rs 6,40,000 on the show.
