Dinesh Karthik Apologises to BCCI

Dinesh Karthik Captain of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, has issued an unconditional apology after receiving a notice from the BCCI. Watch the video to learn more.

Dinesh Karthik is the Captain of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. He was in the Port of Spain watching the Caribbean Premier League. He was watching the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) match. This team is co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan. Dinesh Karthik was watching the match while sitting in the TKR dressing room. After this the BCCI sent them a notice. According to the rules, a player cannot participate, in any league besides the IPL without a No Objection certificate from the BCCI. The BCCI said that he has to reply with an answer otherwise they would cancel his contract. 

Dinesh replied to the notice and said that he went to the Port of Spain because New Zealand Coach  Brendon McCullum requested him to watch the match and wear the TKR’s jersey.Dinesh apologised to the BCCI for not taking permission from them before he visited the match. He said that he was not involved with the TKR team in any way and promised not to watch the match from the team’s green room .
