David Warner Blocked by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Social Media

Australian cricketer David Warner has been blocked by his former IPL team SunRisers Hyderabad on Twitter & Instagram.

Australian cricketer David Warner has been blocked by his former IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner learnt about the block after the IPL auction when he was trying to congratulate his Australian teammates Travis Head & Pat Cummins on Instagram for joining his old team Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner wanted to repost the Travis’s & Cummin’s stories after being picked by Sunrisers but couldn't and released that he had been blocked by the team. He then checked ‘X’ (twitter) and saw that the team had blocked him there too. Warner then shared the screenshots of him being blocked by SRH on his Instagram story and tagged Travis & Cummins. Travis was bought for ? 6.80 crore & Cummins for ?20.50 crore by the Sunrisers in the 2024 IPL auction in Dubai. With more than 4000 runs, Warner is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s all-time leading run-scorer. It was under his captaincy that Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first IPL title ever in 2016. Warner has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad for over 7 years but the relationship between him & the team started turning sour in 2021 when he was removed from captaincy in the middle of the season. Warner at that time said “The disappointing thing for me was not being explained why I was dropped as captain.” Later, ahead of the 2022 IPL auctions, Warner was released by the team and he joined the Delhi Capitals. Over his release from the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner had said “You don‘t know who is going for you, who wants you to be selected, who doesn’t. End of the day you’re told you’re not playing. It’s difficult, a bitter pill to swallow, but I don’t think I will ever get answers and must move on.” Warner will continue to be a part of the Delhi Capitals in 2024 IPL too. He was retained ahead of the IPL auction.
